Welcome to Sammy Rush!

As one of the strongest fraternities at the University of Texas, we would like to introduce you to the rush process and everything Sigma Alpha Mu has to offer. Sammy excels in all aspects of college life. For example, we have:

A long tradition of Intramural sports dominance all across the board (Basketball, Flag Football, Softball), as well as active members in clubs such as UT club baseball.
The highest Fraternity GPA on campus for the last eight years. (Including the highest pledge class GPA for the last 3 years)
Continued Philanthropic involvement with organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association.
Serious involvement with Hillel and Chabad, the two largest Jewish student organizations on campus
Strong representation in honored UT service organizations such as Cowboys, Silver Spurs and others
Student Government - Over the past 4 years, Sammy has shown strong representation in student government. We have had one University President, several Campus Wide Representatives, many School Representatives, and two runner ups for Vice President.

We recently went through renovations to improve our house and doubled the size of our backyard, while adding a full-size basketball court. We have added flat screen TVs all over our bottom floor to enhance the look of our house. We are continuously adding new things to our house, and recently renovated our Chapter room, adding pool tables, air hockey tables, and more for the entertainment of our members.

We would like to see you at as many Sammy events as possible, so try making the trip up to some of our Signature events that you will not want to miss:

Luau - October 2012 - This is our annual Hawaiian themed party, with a huge cave and Volcano. We kick the year off with this party during ACL weekend every year.
Atlantic City - November 2012 - This is our most famous party and it is known all around the country. Not only do we build some of the most ridiculous structures around, but we also have the world's second largest monopoly board. This is a party you will not want to miss.
Carlos' n Charlie's - March 23, 2012 - This is our biggest philanthropy event in the spring, with past years featuring Grammy award-winning artist Chamillionare and Academy award-winning Three 6 Mafia. This year, we promise to one-up ourselves yet again with an even bigger performance by the one and only T-Pain!
