September 21, 2008- Sammy Wins 2nd Place in Hits for Hearts Softball Tournament
The Sigma Theta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu received second place in the annual Alpha Phi Hits for Hearts Charity Softball Tournament.

August 28, 2008- New Pledge Class
After a very successful rush week, the Sigma Theta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu took in 27 new candidates for the fall 2008 pledge class. Our candidates take on a variety of majors and are from all over the country.

August 21, 2008- Sammy National Awards
Sigma Theta chose to honor the founding fathers by receiving 8 awards: 1) Outstanding Prior Award Honorable Mention 2) Outstanding Community Service Award Honorable Mention 3) Scholastic Recognition Award 4) Recruitment Excellence Most Improved 5) Recruitment Excellence Special Mention 6) Founder’s Level Achievement 7) Jimmy Hammerstein Best In Province Award 8) Founder’s Cup Honorable Mention. The most publicized message during the convention though was the Sigma Alpha Mu celebration of its 100 years of existence in 2009.

April 20, 2008- Sammy Raises Thousands for Alzheimer's!
The Sigma Theta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu raised $8800 for the Alzheimer's Association this Spring Semester. Well done everyone! Special thanks to all the families and friends who helped us perform this outstanding service to the community.

April 11, 2008- Highest GPA on Campus!
Sigma Theta Chapter has acheived the HIGHEST average GPA on campus of 3.223. We ranked fourth among Actives with a GPA of 3.168 and second among New Members with a GPA of 3.315. Additionally, we have 8 members with 4.0 GPAs and over 2/3 of the chapter with GPAs above a 3.0. Well done Sammys!

April 6, 2008- Student Government Inauguration
Frankie Shulkin was inaugurated as Vice President of the Student Body. Justin Stein was also inaugrated as Liberal Arts Representative of the Student Body. Congratulations Frankie and Justin!
